Looking to the Future
The first two YMHA buildings no longer exist but their “forgotten foundations” live on in memory, a reminder that communities grow, move, and change over time. The 1955 JCC building, beloved and cherished by many who grew up there, will soon come down as well. In Summer 2022, doors will open on the same site to the new Trager Family JCC complex, ushering in the next era of Jewish community space in Louisville.
