Helen Humes Passport, 1962

After making a name for herself and solidifying her place in the music industry, Humes began to get invitations from around the world to sing at festivals and clubs. In 1957, Humes toured Australia with Red Norvo’s Trio. She was the first woman to travel with the Norman Granz Jazz at the Philharmonic group. She toured all over the world throughout the early 1960s, performing at festivals such as the Baden Jazz Festival, The Bordeaux Jazz Sessions and The Newport Jazz Festival.
