Description

J. W. Lynch writes to Weller apologizing for not being able to adopt a child. He states that he is not able to support a child right now, as times are hard and busy for farmers. He and his wife visit their neighbor, Daniel Hays, who has adopted a young boy from the Home. He states that he thinks of little Sallie as his own child, even though he is unable to adopt her.
