Dearest -

This is a Sunday so different from what the other Sundays have been, but it is O.K. as we have a meeting at the Barricks every Sunday morning at 8.30.

Well Nellie when you can send me a bar of washing soap as I had to get a bar yesterday it was ivory and cost 10c so you see every thing is not cheap down here.

James Wilsons wife asked if James had seen me. I guess he has as I sleep right by his side.

When I get to come home on a furlough I will have lots to tell you that I can not write. It seems that some one has to steal as some[one] just now stole a comfort kit. but so far I have not lost anything.

Well I will have to close as it will soon be assembly and I want to close before they call as we have to get when they call.

Write to me whenever you have time as I will have to move some of these days to a different place and that means about a week without mail.

With love
Yours only
Priv. Frank R. Lane
