Description

These prints are part of a 15-piece series reflecting on Friedrich Froebel’s life and teachings. The original full-color paintings were created in 1937 by students in the Fine Arts Department of Teachers College under the direction of Patty Smith Hill. Standing about 5 feet tall, the paintings were part of the celebration of the of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the first kindergarten in Germany. Today, the originals are held at the Association for Childhood Education in Washington D. C.
