Griffin writes to Hollingsworth regarding a "little blue eyed boy" she saw advertised in their paper. She says that her "Mamma thinks he would take the place of a little one [they] lost several years ago," but that "Mamma & Papa hardly think they would like to adopt him." She says that they would take him, care for him, and send him to school. She says her father is a deacon, that the family has prayers every morning, and that there are four of them in the family, including "brother Woe-die." Weller writes on the bottom, "May 22/95 Jes., Can have a two year old boy if properly recommended." Letter marked 810 E. Fifth St., Owensboro, KY.
