6 January 1961: A letter thanking Luke McLuke for his letter congratulating Kennedy on his election.
Lyndon B. Johnson: President from 1963 to 1969
30 April 1962: Letter expressing pleasure at the request for his picture, and enclosing a signed photograph.
Richard Nixon: President from 1969 to 1974
14 January 1974: Letter thanking Sam L. Draper, President of the Highland Writers' Group in Louisville, Kentucky, for the group's efforts to secure objective news coverage from the media. Nixon writes, "Your assurance of trust reaffirms my firm belief that this Administration can continue to move toward the goals to which it is dedicated and which the American people elected us to achieve."
Gerald Ford: President from 1974 to 1977
28 December 1983: Letter to John R. Hall, chairman and CEO of Ashland Oil, Inc. in Ashland, Kentucky. Ford invites Hall to be one of the fifty chief executive officers invited to attend the third annual American Enterprise Institute World Forum in June 1984. Ford explains the purpose and format of the meetings and mentions names of world leaders who attended previous meetings and those he hopes to see participate in 1984.
