From Alderman to Mayor
In 1975 Abramson ran for and was elected 3rd Ward Alderman in the Louisville Board of Aldermen. Abramson served two terms on the Board of Aldermen from 1975 to 1979. In 1980 Governor John Y. Brown chose him to be his general counsel and secretary of justice. He served in this position through 1981. Eventually Abramson became a partner in the Greenebaum, Doll and McDonald law firm.
